Corn pellet: Corn stover is a granular feed made from corn stover through processes such as kneading, crushing, and conditioning, and is compressed using a pellet machine.
Before granulation, the corn stover needs to be dried first, using mechanical drying or natural drying methods to control its moisture content within 20%; Then crush the corn stover, with a crushing length of less than 10mm and a fineness of less than 2mm; Finally, collect the crushed straw in the raw material warehouse.
Granulation is a key step in the feed utilization of corn stover. Firstly, the collected raw materials are fed into the storage bin of the granulator. Non protein nitrogen and binders are mixed evenly with the raw materials according to the requirements. The moisture and temperature of the mixed materials need to be controlled within a certain range to facilitate granulation. Adjust the steam pressure entering the machine to 0.2MPa~0.4MPa, and adjust the steam temperature to 115 ℃~125 ℃. By selecting a reasonable compression ratio through debugging, the compression ratio of flat mold templates is generally 6:1, and the compression ratio of ring molds in pellet machines is generally 8:1. For different types of animal pellets, the selected ring mold aperture varies. For example, sheep pellets have a ring mold aperture of 4mm to 6mm, while cattle pellets have a ring mold aperture of 6mm to 8mm. The particle length is 2 to 5 times the diameter. The discharge temperature also needs to be controlled between 76 ℃ and 92 ℃.
In the granulating process, the stability of conditioner and extrusion has an important impact on the granulating effect. Suitable conditioners should be selected to ensure the stability of feeding; At the same time, it is necessary to ensure the stability of the die roll extrusion by controlling the feeding stability of the conditioner and the uniform distribution of materials in the extrusion zone, using large-diameter pressure rollers for extrusion.
Transport the formed particles to the cooler, and the cooling time usually takes 10-15 minutes to bring the particles to room temperature. After cooling, the particles are classified and screened through a vibrating screen, with a thickness controlled between 1cm and 5cm. The screened powder is then re granulated in the granulator. Finally, pack the cooled pellet feed. It is advisable to store in bags and avoid outdoor storage. At the same time, attention should be paid to moisture, mold, and rodent prevention.
