The rotary tiller is easy to use and operate, affordable, and can simultaneously achieve the effects of plowing and harrowing with a single pass. With a typical tillage depth of 12-16 centimeters, it leaves the soil surface smooth and finely broken, making it the most widely used tillage machine in rural areas and highly favored by farmers.

I. Guidelines for using rotary tiller

1. When the rotary tiller is used, it should be leveled first. First, it should be raised on the level ground. Adjust the length of the tractor's top link so that the front and rear of the rotary tiller are basically horizontal. After adjustment, adjust the left and right lifting links so that the distance between the rotary tiller blades on both sides of the rotary tiller and the ground is the same, that is, the left and right are horizontal. Note that some high-powered tractors have two connection methods for the lifting and lowering rods behind them: circular holes and long holes. When using a rotary tiller, circular holes are generally used for connection, while long holes are used for plowing operations with a plow.

2. The field cultivation speed of a rotary tiller is generally 3-6 kilometers per hour. After entering the ground, first use low-speed second gear to test cultivation. The tractor should press the accelerator pedal to the bottom, with a high throttle instead of a low or medium throttle. Further adjustments should be made to the rotary tiller according to the actual operating effect to maintain good soil penetration, consistent left and right plowing depth, soil fragmentation, and smooth surface. If the tractor has sufficient power, it can be shifted up for trial plowing. As long as the tractor speed does not decrease and the plowing effect is good, use a higher gear as much as possible for operation.

3. It must be noted that according to the working principle of the rotary tiller, the rotary tillage speed ratio λ must be greater than 1, otherwise the rotary tiller cannot perform normal rotary tillage operations. That is to say, the circumferential linear velocity at the end of the rotary tiller blade must be greater than the forward speed of the tractor. This requires that the forward speed of the tractor during rotary tillage should not be too fast. Conversely, if the tractor is in a higher gear during rotary tillage, the power output should also be in a higher gear, which ensures both the quality and efficiency of the operation, but the prerequisite is that the tractor has sufficient power and can pull.

4. When rotary tillage, if the soil is hard and the soil penetration performance of the rotary tiller is poor, or the shallower the tillage, the first solution is to choose a high-pressure tractor and use the tractor's high-pressure function to force the soil penetration; Secondly, for non high pressure tractors, the following methods can be used for adjustment: firstly, the upper pull rod can be shortened to increase the soil penetration angle of the rotary tiller and improve the soil penetration performance; The second is to increase the rotational speed of the rotary tiller blade shaft, so that the blade shaft speed reaches 280 revolutions per minute or more. After the blade shaft speed increases, the cutting ability of the rotary tiller to the soil is significantly enhanced, and the soil penetration and tillage effect become better; The third is to increase the weight on the rotary tiller. After the weight of the rotary tiller increases, the soil penetration effect significantly improves; The fourth is to reduce the tractor speed, shift down one gear to work, and after the tractor slows down, the working effect will also significantly improve.

II. The characteristics of tillage depth control in the high-pressure system.

The distributor with strong pressure control mode generally has four positions for the control handle: lift, neutral, pressure drop, and float. When doing homework, you can first try using a floating position. If the soil is well buried, the tillage depth is stable, and meets the requirements, then floating should be used first. If the soil is hard and difficult to penetrate, and the rotary tiller feels shallow and deep during cultivation, the pressure drop function of the strong pressure system should be used. When the rotary tiller reaches a certain depth, the control handle should be moved back to the neutral position, and the rotary tiller will be controlled at a certain depth without change. To ensure consistent plowing depth and reduce driver operation intensity, the limit cover plate on the piston rod of the high-pressure oil cylinder can be used to limit the plowing depth. After adjusting the plowing depth, the limit cover plate on the piston rod of the high-pressure oil cylinder can be locked. This way, every time the rotary tiller descends to that position, it will automatically stop, ensuring consistent plowing depth back and forth.

III. The characteristics of tillage depth control for non pressure systems

The distributor in non high pressure control mode can be divided into single handle and dual handle control modes. The single handle distributor is a force position comprehensive adjustment, which is controlled by one handle for lifting and lowering; The distributor with two handles has one handle for adjusting force and the other for adjusting position, and the two handles are used in conjunction.

The entry of a non pressure system rotary tiller into the soil is achieved by the self weight of the rotary tiller. For adjusting the two handles in a powerful position, use the position adjustment handle to push them forward; Only the force position can be adjusted comprehensively with one handle. Push the handle forward to stabilize the rotary tiller at a certain plowing depth for stable operation. If the plowing depth is too deep, you can lift the handle up a little, and if the plowing depth is too shallow, you can push the handle down a little further.
