Integrated Demonstration And Promotion Training of Potato Digger

Recently, FOTMA held a demonstration event for potato mechanization at a demonstration site, promoting the integration of tracked self-propelled potato digger in terraced fields around the mountains. Practical teaching was delivered to the fields, laying a solid technical foundation for the high-yield harvest of potatoes.

During the demonstration training, multiple new potato digger were shuttling back and forth in the fields, with technicians demonstrating their performance while providing on-site teaching to farmers. In response to the current situation of hilly and mountainous areas with scattered farmland, this batch of new machinery demonstrated flexible turning, stable slope operation, sufficient separation of sweet potatoes and soil, and collection of sweet potatoes into storage. Effectively solved the production problems of low efficiency and labor shortage in traditional manual harvesting in the past.

This event not only focuses on practical teaching of agricultural machinery, but also places the safety issues of farmers' field operations at the forefront. Technicians combined the risk characteristics of local field operations and provided detailed explanations to farmers on the operation norms such as machine start-up and commissioning, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting, effectively avoiding the safety risks of agricultural machinery operations from the source.

During the autumn harvest season, we organized a fully mechanized potato digger harvest training activity for the masses, with the aim of improving the proficiency of the operators and ensuring the smooth progress of the autumn harvest work.

FOTMA will also conduct regular technical and safety training. At the same time, relying on field experiments to verify the performance of machinery, timely feedback on equipment shortcomings, continuous optimization of potato harvesting equipment that is more suitable for hilly terraces, acceleration of the development of potato production mechanization throughout the process, and providing mechanized support for the high-quality development of the agricultural industry.
