Wood Splitter is an important auxiliary equipment in the wood chip processing industry, mainly divided into two series: vertical and horizontal. Its function is to use hydraulic working principle to split tree stumps, large branches, large round sections, and harder wood to meet the feeding size requirements of the slicer, or to split raw materials into materials for other purposes. The general stroke specifications are 1000mm, 1100mm, 1200mm, and the nominal pressure is 30 tons, 35 tons, 50 tons, etc. The horizontal model is more convenient to use and can be made into a traction mobile machine according to user needs.
I. Working Principle
The power of the wood splitter comes from internal combustion engines or electric motors. Its basic working principle is to use hydraulic working principle to split wood. The wood splitting machine converts energy into mechanical energy through a power source to drive the system to work.
Its main structure includes a main beam that provides structural support, bearings and shafts that transmit power, a gear transmission system, a power source, a clutch device, a reset mechanism, and a safety device.
When using an internal combustion engine, the engine burns fuel to produce high-temperature and high-pressure gas that drives the piston, drives the crankshaft to rotate, and transmits power to the cutting disc of the chopping machine through the transmission system.
When using an electric motor, the power supply excites the magnetic field of the motor to rotate its rotor, and the rotational force generated is transmitted to the cutter head of the chopping machine.
II. Operating Matters
Before use, check if there are any foreign objects blocking the machine to avoid the danger of jamming; Safety protection facilities should be installed during use, and when chopping wood, the body should be balanced with fingers 5cm away from the blade; If you need to replace the blades of the wood splitting machine, you should first turn off the power light and stop the machine from running before approaching.
Usage: Before using the chopping machine, loosen the air release screw and rotate it several times until the slope is exposed. When operating the chopping machine, place the wooden block against the chopping blade, turn on the power, press the motor switch button with your right hand first, and pull the operating handle at the back of the chopping machine downwards with your left hand. At this point, the baffle will move forward. To return the baffle, you need to release the operating handle.
III. Maintenance
The hydraulic oil of the chopping machine needs to be replaced after a period of use. Please remove the oil drain bolt and drain the oil, then add the specified type of hydraulic oil. After cleaning the oil level gauge, insert it for inspection to ensure that the oil level is between the two black grooves on the gauge. After refueling, make sure the bolts are tightened before placing the chopping machine horizontally to prevent oil leakage. When the firewood chopper is not used for a long time or needs to be transported, please tighten the bleed screw, and use foam to fix the motor to avoid turbulence as far as possible.
Exception handling: If encountering a damp and hard wooden block that cannot be split, release the operating handle or turn off the power within two seconds, otherwise the motor may be damaged due to stalling.
