Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Sichuan Province issued the "Sichuan Smart Agriculture Action Plan (2025-2028)" (referred to as the "Action Plan"), proposing to comprehensively launch 10 key tasks in three major actions by 2025, including improving the public service capacity of smart agriculture, expanding key areas of smart agriculture, and developing innovative applications of smart agriculture, actively exploring the construction mode of smart agriculture (animal husbandry, fishing) farms. By 2028, the province will have built 200 high-level smart farms, 50 smart ranches, and 20 smart fishing grounds. The management and service capabilities of smart agriculture will be greatly improved, and modern information technology will help reduce costs and increase efficiency in agricultural production. The digital transformation of the entire agricultural industry chain in pilot areas will be basically achieved, and the mechanism path for promoting smart agriculture construction in the whole region will be basically mature. The level of agricultural production informatization will steadily improve.
The Action Plan specifies three key tasks and seven sub tasks, including the improvement of public service capabilities in smart agriculture, the expansion of key areas in smart agriculture, and the innovation and application of smart agriculture development. Among them, for the research and development of domestic agricultural machinery equipment, the Action Plan proposes to enhance the scientific research, manufacturing, and service capabilities of the "Tianfu Opportunity" equipment, increase research and development of sensors, chips, algorithms, models, and other technologies in the agricultural field, and support the research and development of high-end intelligent agricultural machinery equipment in areas such as agricultural robots and smart irrigation. Accelerate the research and application of intelligent agricultural machinery, forestry machinery, and small machinery suitable for hilly and mountainous areas. Integrating remote monitoring, Beidou navigation, unmanned driving and other technologies, promoting the application of the "agricultural machinery+Beidou" mode, realizing Beidou based automatic driving of agricultural machinery, automatic measurement of work area, and full process supervision of work trajectory. Expand the application field of agricultural drones, create a number of low altitude flying agricultural equipment application scenarios, and promote the application of agricultural drones in crop monitoring, pest control, precision fertilization, and other aspects.
