A new generation of intelligent tractor with seeder, jointly developed by domestic agricultural equipment enterprises and research institutions, made its debut at a national agricultural technology exhibition held in Beijing on Wednesday. This integrated farming equipment, combining high-horsepower tractor technology with precision seeding systems, has achieved breakthroughs in intelligence, efficiency and environmental protection, marking a new step forward in China's agricultural modernization drive and providing strong support for ensuring food security.

Traditional farming methods often require separate operations of tractor ploughing and manual seeding, which are not only time-consuming and labor-intensive but also lead to uneven seeding density, low germination rates and waste of seeds and fertilizers. For a long time, small and medium-sized farmers have been plagued by low seeding efficiency, while large-scale farms are in urgent need of integrated equipment to reduce costs and improve output.

I. Core Technical Upgrades of the New Equipment

The newly launched tractor with seeder solves these pain points through integrated design and intelligent upgrading. Equipped with a high-efficiency engine with a thermal efficiency of over 50%, the tractor can save 10% to 20% of fuel compared with traditional models, while its power-shift transmission ensures smooth operation and strong adaptability to complex terrains such as paddy fields and slopes. The matched seeder adopts a full-electronic control precision system, which can realize 5-centimeter bandwidth uniform seeding and 0.5-centimeter seeding depth control, significantly improving seeding accuracy.

(1) Intelligent Integration: A Distinctive Advantage

What distinguishes this equipment from traditional models is its intelligent integration capability. Integrated with Beidou navigation and positioning system, the tractor with seeder can achieve centimeter-level operation accuracy, with a straight-line error of less than ±4 centimeters. It supports unmanned automatic operation, allowing farmers to complete seeding tasks by setting parameters on a mobile phone or control panel, and can work continuously for 24 hours, which is 3 to 5 times more efficient than manual operation. During the demonstration, the equipment completed seeding of 36 mu of farmland on a single charge, showing excellent endurance and work efficiency.

(2) Multi-Functional Design and Environmental Benefits

In addition, the tractor with seeder integrates multiple functions such as fertilization, rotary tillage and seeding, realizing "one machine for multiple purposes" and avoiding soil compaction caused by repeated trips of agricultural machinery. Its straw harmless full-return technology can effectively improve soil organic matter, while the precise fertilization system reduces fertilizer waste by 15% and increases fertilizer utilization rate significantly. For cash crops such as wheat and corn, the equipment can adjust seeding density and depth according to soil moisture and crop types, increasing germination rate by 15% and crop yield by 10% to 20%.

II. Industry Demand and Market Trend

Industry data shows that with the acceleration of agricultural modernization in China, the demand for intelligent agricultural machinery is growing rapidly. In 2025, the sales volume of tractors with automatic navigation functions exceeded 100,000 units, and the penetration rate of new energy tractors reached 9%. The launch of this advanced tractor with seeder is in line with the development trend of "intelligent upgrading and green transformation" in the tractor industry, and will further promote the popularization of precision farming technology.

"This integrated equipment not only reduces the labor intensity of farmers but also helps small and medium-sized farmers achieve large-scale and precise operation at a lower cost," said a technical expert from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He added that the core components of the equipment have achieved 100% localization, breaking the technical monopoly of foreign enterprises and making high-performance agricultural machinery accessible to more farmers.

III. Current Promotion and Future Planning

At present, the equipment has been tested and promoted in more than 10 provinces including Jiangsu, Shandong and Heilongjiang, covering over 300,000 mu of farmland, and has been highly recognized by farmers and agricultural cooperatives. Relevant enterprises said that they will further optimize the product structure, launch models suitable for hilly and mountainous areas, and expand the service coverage to 10 million mu in the next three to five years.

Experts predict that the popularization of intelligent tractors with seeders will profoundly change the traditional agricultural production mode, promote the transformation of Chinese agriculture from "extensive management" to "precision management". With the support of policies such as the No.1 Central Document in 2026, which emphasizes the popularization of intelligent agricultural equipment, such integrated farming equipment will become the main force in modern agriculture, contributing to ensuring national food security and promoting rural revitalization.
